I was browsing through the website yesterday, just keeping up with new releases, when I stumbled upon the XENSIV™ TCI—their new integrated thermal conductivity gas sensor.
Usually, when a new sensor drops, the headlines are all about "parts per million" or "detection speed." But as I looked at the specs from an ECAD Librarian’s perspective, I realized this part is a perfect example of why our job is so much more than just drawing pads and lines.

Infineon Technologies XENSIV TCI Integrated Gas Sensor
What caught my eye?
Most gas sensors are a bit of a headache for us. They are often bulky, sensitive to "poisoning" from chemicals, and require a lot of external analog circuitry.
This one is different. It’s tiny (SMD), it’s digital (I^2C), and it’s built for the high-stakes world of Hydrogen leakage and EV battery safety. But …
