Exciting Update! 🚀 PCB footprint development using Gemini AI combined with SKILL Scripting!


Just finished phase 1 of project leveraging AI and Cadence SKILL scripting to automate padstack and land pattern creation.

This significantly speeds up our design process and enhances accuracy by directly extracting recommended land pattern data from datasheets.

​Imagine cutting down manual data entry and potential errors – that's what this script helps us achieve!

​1. Data Extraction & Scripting logic:
Our custom SKILL script pulls crucial physical dimensions directly from component datasheets.
No more manual transcription!

2. Automated Land Pattern Generation:
The script then uses this data to automatically generate precise land patterns within our design environment. This ensures consistency and adherence to manufacturer recommendations.

Best thing is Cadence SKILL has lots and lots of SKILL API which makes our ECAD very handy with 1 click.
